FAQ

Q: Where do I find specific information on Premier Week in Greensboro, NC?

Q: Where are the campers staying for Resident Camp?
A: Campers will be staying on the UCF campus in the dorms. (click here for Premier Week in Greensboro, NC)

 

Q: What is CFSA refund policy?
A: A $100 non-refundable deposit is part of each camper's registration payment. Full refunds (less $50 service fee) will be issued only in case of disabling injury certified by qualified physician. Full payment is due 14 business days prior to camp start.

 

Q: What is the staff to camper ratio?
A: We plan on having between a 10:1 and 15:1 ratio of campers to staff.

 

Q: What type of supervision will there be?
A: Each group of 10-15 campers will have a counselor responsible for them all day. In addition senior staff will be supervising activities during the day and at night in the dorms. There is one staff room on every floor / hall.

 

Q: What do campers do in their free time?
A: There is very little free time with the number of sessions we are having. Players usually rest or utilize the pool which is on - campus and staffed with a supervisor. (click here for Premier Week in Greensboro, NC)

 

Q: Will campers be allowed off campus?
A: No. While enrolled in the Central Florida Soccer Academy, campers are required to remain part of the camp. If a parent would like their child to leave camp for any period of time, they need to speak to the Camp Director as soon as possible.

 

Q: Can parents or relatives visit camp?
A: Yes. You are welcome to watch training at anytime. Please identify yourself to our staff upon your arrival as soon as possible.

 

Q: Where will the campers be eating their lunch?
A: Breakfast and dinner will be at the UCF dining hall. Lunch for Day Camp and Overnight Camps are catered by nearby restaurants. Campers will be walked back and forth by the staff. (click here for Premier Week in Greensboro, NC)

 

Q: Are there phones in the dorms?
A: No. There are no phones in the dorms but there are phone jacks. Campers can bring their own phone to plug in and dial local calls. A phone number to the room can be provided from housing at registration. Most campers have been bringing cell phones to call home. (click here for Premier Week in Greensboro, NC)

 

Q: What do I bring to camp?
A: Packing Lists are available on the web site.

 

Q: Who are my roomates?
A: If you put a roomate request down on your application we do everything possible to honor that request.

 

Q: How many people to a room?
A: That all depends on the specific dorms we get on campus. Usually there are two people to a room.

 

Q: Where will the players be able to fill up their water bottle?
A: On the practice fields we have usually 6-10 places they can fill their water bottle.

 

Q: Is there still space available to register for camp?
A: If the website is allowing you to register then there is space available.

 

Q: Is there medical staff available to handle injuries and illnesses?
A: We have a certified athletic trainer on staff that stays on campus with the camp.

 

Q: What do you do in case of rain?
A: If it is only raining we usually continue to play unless the fields become unsafe. In the case of thunderstorms and lightning we move the campers indoors to a safe place. We continue to monitor the storm with a lightning meter and also over the internet and only retake the fields when it is safe.

 

Q: Will each player get a written evaluation?
A: Yes, at the end of camp their coach will give them an evaluation of their skills.

 

Q: Are the dorms air conditioned?
A: Yes.

 

Q: What if my child is a goalkeeper?
A: There are goalkeepers in all of our camps. Please sign your child up as a goalkeeper if you would like them to train with the goalkeepers the entire week.

 

Q: Is there any free stuff?
A: Yes. Everyone receives a free camp T-shirt and water bottle.

 

Q: Where do we play?
A: Our fields are located on the campus of UCF. (click here for Premier Week in Greensboro, NC)

 

Q: Is there a deadline to register?
A: Acceptance into our camp is a first come, first serve basis. Once we receive a signed paper application with a minimum deposit check or you register online and submit payment with a credit card then you will receive an account confirmation and a camp registration confirmation via email. All confirmations are sent electronically.

 

Q: What if I have an emergency and need to get in touch with someone while my daughter is at camp?
A: You can leave messages at our office (407-823-6611) or if it is a resident camp you can call the housing number which is given out at registration. (click here for Premier Week in Greensboro, NC)

 

Q: What are the differences in your camps?
A: Day Camp is everyday from 9am-4pm and includes ages 4-14. Elite Week One is an overnight camp for the premier player and includes ages 9-18. Elite Week 2 is an overnight camp for the premier player and includes ages 13-18. Premier Week is for girls ages 10-18 and will take place in Greensboro, NC. Elite Week One, Two, and Premier Week have similar curriculums and are structured the same. Commuters are welcome at Elite Weeks and Premier Week.
  

Q: Is lunch provided during Day Camp?
A: Yes. (ages 4-5 are only eligible for half day camp (9am-12pm) and lunch is excluded)

 

Q: Can I park on campus?

Q: How many discounts can a camper receive? 
A:
 Even though a camper may qualify for more than one, we only allow one discount per camper. The only exception is the early registration discount. A camper can receive this as well as one other discount.
