About CFSA
Our Philosophy
Our desire is to provide a positive training environment for all players. Athletes will be grouped according to their age and ability so they can receive technical and tactical instruction. We will utilize individual, small group, and team settings to help each athlete improve her skills.
The camp is hosted on the campus of UCF and is designed for both field players and goalkeepers. According to NCAA rules, graduating high school seniors may attend.
· Technical
Players will receive skill training from elite level staff coaches during the morning and afternoon sessions. Our coaches use a variety of drills and games to improve your footwork, first touch, passing, trapping, heading and shooting.
· Tactical
You will learn many defensive shapes and attacking schemes from coaches who have played all over the world. The afternoon will be full of small sided games to work on techniques and strategies under high pressure.
· Competition
The evening session allows players to use their tactical knowledge, skills and athleticism in full sided games with a team focus and competitive edge.
Goalkeepers
Goalkeepers will be trained in morning and afternoon technical sessions with the goalkeeper staff. Keepers will learn proper technique for collapse dives, forward dives, extension dives, and breakaway dives. Keepers will also learn how to deal with crosses, breakaways, and will practice starting the attack with good distribution. Games in the evening will allow the camp staff members to help the keepers with angles and talking through certain game situations as they develop. Goalkeeper fitness will also be a part of the keeper camp. Goalkeepers will be full time keepers during camp in order to receive the best possible instruction.
